Q&A with Hayden Paddon - Answers

As you may remember, a while ago we hosted another Q&A, this time with Hyundai WRC driver Hayden Paddon.
Thank you all for cooperating and submitting your questions.
Here as his answers:

1. What car is your daily driver? If you could choose any one rally car from history, which would you choose and why?
I drive an Hyundai i40 daily. I always was in owe of the 95 Group A Impreza, that would be a dream car because of its history and the sound.

2. How does your week look like when you finish an event and there is no rally for another month? Do you have special preparations, testing or similar activities?
It is always very busy. We have a lot of test commiments, time at the workshop, physical and mental training along with the homework/study for the upcoming rally.

3. Do you get in argument with John during rallies and who's the one who calms down first?
No, we know each other very well and everything just works. If one of us having a bad day, we know, and we just let each other do our own thing. But the partnership works well.

4. Which rally in the WRC calendar is your favorite and which one would you take out to make room for WRC New Zealand?
Rally Finland has always been a favourite because of the history of the rally but also because I love the fast/crest roads - almost like NZ. I believe Rally Australia and Rally NZ should rotate every 3 years.

5. More and more (ex)WRC drivers are going into rallycross, would you be interested in having a go as well, now or after you get bored winning WRC rallies?
For now I'm focused on WRC and this is a long term project. But after WRC I will be very interested to try other forms of motorsport including rallyX- I love driving!
